The Hyatt Regency Sushi Bar.

Hyatt Regency Sushi Bar.

I affectionately call the Hyatt Regency as my 'forwarding address' because of the familial service I get there..♥

I must also say, that the Hyatt Regency Trinidad did a yeoman service by opening the Sushi Bar. Why?  The Sushi Bar offers delectable dishes, maintains its high quality standard and has a fantastic view to boot!  In a time where Japanese cuisine gained momentum, circa 2008, I consider the 'Hyatt experience' as a treasure that keeps on giving by creating bellyful memories!

My passion and voraciousness for food, urged me to learn and master the use of chopsticks.  So much so that I abandoned traditional cutlery for my own wooden chopsticks.  Picture the perplexed looks when I would eat Creole food such as Pelau and Callaloo with my new gem!  I paid them no mind, and two months later, I finally honed my skill!

The Sushi Bar is open for business from Monday to Saturday during dinner time, so 5 p.m. -10 p.m. I was ready to delve into anything the Sushi Bar propositioned. What I did not expect was the quantum.  The Bar offers 4 pieces of a roll as opposed to 8 in other Japanese Cuisine venues.  So there was some disappointment there, however, the quality is second to none.

The roll in the forefront is the Joel Roll (named after the creator Chef) and the background, the Dragon Roll.  If you like heat, you got it here!  Both simultaneously brought the heat and flavour with a raw element in the Dragon Roll and crispy in Joel's Roll.

Enter in the Crazy Roll..
This is for all you Crab and lobster lovers! I thoroughly enjoyed this one as I got tasty mild flavour and BIG shrimp. No complaints there. ♥

Crazy Roll

Actually, there is one complaint, my dears, you can not stop at one serving.  As we Trinis say, 'it is very more-ish'! Ergo, don't be surprised if you order another.

Salud!
